What is more popular, beer or wine?

The answer is beer! According to statista in 2014, the consumption of beer is around 400 billion liters, while wine and is only 26 billion liters.
Beer production almost 15 times more than wine, and 10 times higher than wine and other spirits combine. Beer has some production advantages and that make it the most popular alcoholic drink on the world.
Beer presents more versatile and flexible characteristics compared to wine. Grape vines require a particular climate and subsoil to grow productively. For this reason and others, beer has become the drink of the masses. The price of beer and wine could be the main reason why beer is widely consumed. However, there is no strong data that suggest that beer is cheaper than wine. Ingraham’s study points that beer is somehow cheaper than wine, however, craft beer could be substantially more expensive due the quality and of its ingredients and the brewing process.
Both drinks have millennial history both drinks are very popular. Nevertheless the massive beer production and its versatility makes clear that beer is by far the most beloved alcoholic drink in the world.
